Swiss Re reported insurance revenue of 20.3 billion USD for the first half of 2026, ended 30 June, representing a 3% year-on-year decline.
Net profit increased 9% to 2.8 billion USD, while shareholders' equity stood at 24.5 billion USD. The company reported a return on equity (ROE) of 22.7%.
The property and casualty reinsurance (P&C Re) segment posted insurance revenue of 8.3 billion USD and net profit of 1.4 billion USD. Its combined ratio improved by 4.4 percentage points to 76.7%.
The life & health (L&H) reinsurance business generated insurance revenue of 8.4 billion USD and net profit of 1 billion USD.
Corporate Solutions, Swiss Re's direct insurance subsidiary, recorded insurance revenue of 3.6 billion USD and net profit of 490 million USD during the first six months of 2026.
