Takaful insurance in full swing

According to a report by Dubai Center for Islamic Banking and Finance (DCIBF), the global takaful insurance market would reach 52.5 billion USD by 2020. In 2015, it was estimated at 23.2 billion USD.

The document "Takaful: Sustainability and Growth 2015-2025" specifies that between 2003 and 2015, 202 new takaful insurance entities were created.

According to the same source, 51% of the 57 member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) host at least one takaful company.
