Nacer Sais, new president of the UAR

Nacer Sais, CEO of the Compagnie Algérienne des Assurances (CAAT), has been appointed President of the Algerian Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies (UAR), succeeding Youcef Benmicia, CEO of the Société Nationale d’Assurance (SAA).

The appointment was made at the UAR’s Extraordinary General Meeting held on 29 October 2026.

During the meeting, two Vice-Presidents were also appointed:

• Wided Belhouchet, CEO of CASH Assurances
• Mohamed Hakim Soufi, CEO of Macir Vie
