Continental Re Holdings has revised the terms of its planned IPO on the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE).
The move follows the BSE’s approval of a supplemental prospectus issued by the pan-African reinsurer.
According to the revised prospectus, ACA Cornerstone Limited will retain its entire 14.8% stake in Continental Re, rather than divesting it as initially planned. The document also incorporates the company’s financial results for the first half of 2026.
As of 30 June 2026, Continental Re reported a net profit of 64.4 million BWP (4.6 million USD), up from 6.4 million BWP (474 820 USD) in the corresponding period of 2025.
Insurance revenue increased by 2.4% to 1.213 billion BWP (87.2 million USD).
The company’s total assets stood at 3.27 billion BWP (235.1 million USD), while shareholders’ equity amounted to 1.43 billion BWP (102.8 million USD).
