The Syrian Insurance Supervisory Commission (SISC) has announced the requirements for foreign reinsurance brokerage firms seeking to obtain a license to operate in the country.
The requirements include the submission of basic company details, such as its name, nationality, address and legal structure, as well as proof of financial solvency and information on its intended business activities.
The move aims to establish a regulatory framework for foreign reinsurance brokers entering the Syrian market, amid significant growth in the country’s reinsurance sector.
