The Swiss vote for anti-fraud detectives

The Swiss accepted at 64.7% - that is 1,666,800 citizens - the draft bill authorizing the appointment of detectives in the event of suspicion of insurance fraud. Only the cantons of Geneva and Jura voted "no".

The entry into force of this new regulation is expected before 2020. Swiss policyholders suspected of abuse may be secretly monitored by specialized detectives. Sound and visual recordings, as well as GPS location of the insured are subject to the authorization of a judge.
