Swiss Re sells its life subsidiary to Swiss Life

Swiss Re has transferred its life insurance subsidiary elipsLife to Swiss Life. The reinsurer will however retain the health insurance activities of elipsLife in Ireland. The transaction price has not been disclosed.

The deal remains subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the first semester of 2022.
