Riot-related losses will be covered

The damages caused by the disturbances from January 25 to February 11, 2011 will be covered by insurers. The decision was announced by the insurance federation after consultation with supervisory authorities. It confirms the commitment of the governing bodies to protect the rights of policyholders and insurers to support the national economy. The federation considers that claims resulting from civil commotions are estimated at 203 million USD.
