Munich Re sets the bar higher

The wind blows in the right direction for Munich Re. The German reinsurer is revising upwards its forecast for the year 2015 and intends to outperform the net income to 3 billion EUR (3.29 billion USD). The previous estimate expected a profit forecast of between 2.5 and 3 billion EUR (30.3 and 3.64 billion USD).

For the first half of 2015, Munich Re reported a net income of 1.87 billion EUR (2.04 billion USD).
