Munich Re results

Munich Re has announced rising results for the third consecutive year. The profit achieved in 2006 is of 3.5 billion EUR (4.620 billion USD), that is, a 28.5% increase.

The insurance business, alone, has seen its profits double. The 2006 turnover amounts to 22.2 billion EUR (29.3 billion USD).
The forecasts for the ongoing year are expecting profits of 2.8 billion to 3.2 billion EUR (3.6 to 4.2 billion USD).
