Lower motor insurance rates in Switzerland

According to a recent analysis of the Comparis platform, motor insurance rates in 2020 are on average 8.4% lower than in 2019. Thanks to the digitization of the sector and the entry of direct insurers on the market, the decrease has been established at 15% since 2017.

On the other hand, rates of upper-mid range vehicles have recorded a more significant decline (-18.5%) since 2017.

In Switzerland, the average cost of Casco insurance is of 898 CHF (984 USD).
