As at 30 June 2024, Lloyd's of London reported a turnover of 30.6 billion GBP (38.7 billion USD), up by 6.5% on the 29.3 billion GBP (37 billion USD) posted a year earlier.
The underwriting result rose by 24% to 3.1 billion GBP (3.9 billion USD), compared with 2.5 billion GBP (3.2 billion USD) at the end of the first half of 2023.
At 83.7%, the combined ratio improved by 1.5 points year-on-year.
Return on investment climbed from 1.8 billion GBP (2.3 billion USD) as at 30 June 2023 to 2.1 billion GBP (2.7 billion USD) a year later.
During the reporting period, pre-tax profit stood at 4.9 billion GBP (6.2 billion USD), representing a 25.6% increase on the 3.9 billion GBP (4.9 billion USD) recorded in the first half of the previous year.
