Insurance: M&A transactions reach record high in Europe

According to FTI Consulting, mergers and acquisitions in the European insurance sector are at an all-time high during the first nine months of 2022.

A total of 292 transactions were concluded by the end of September 2022 against 280 during the same period of 2021 and 190 at 30 September 2020.

The United Kingdom and Ireland continue to dominate the M&A market in Europe. These two countries account for 40% of the total transactions in the third quarter of 2022.
