Insurance : Increase in mergers and acquisitions

According to Clyde & Co law firm, the number of mergers and acquisitions in the insurance sector reached 186 in the first six months of 2018, up by 3% compared to the same period of 2017.

However, the number of transactions fell by 9% to 59 in Europe. Clyde & Co attributes this decline to the lack of economic visibility due in particular to Brexit.
