On Monday, June 10, 2019, around 1:45 p.m., a helicopter from American Continental Properties crashed on the roof of the AXA Group building in Manhattan. The pilot died instantly.
It was during an emergency landing attempt on the roof of the 51-storey tower that the accident took place. Terrible weather conditions caused the crash. As soon as the incident was reported, the local authorities closed the airspace above New York. This restriction was lifted after the trail of a possible attack was dismissed.
