Generali in talks with Crédit Agricole Assurances to acquire La Médicale

The Generali group has entered into exclusive negotiations with Crédit Agricole Assurances for the takeover of its subsidiary, La Médicale. The latter, specialized in insuring health professionals, is likely to be valued at 400 million EUR (448.68 million USD).

Through this acquisition, the Italian group aims to expand its French subsidiary through the development of its distribution network in France.

The operation, pending the approval of the competent authorities, is expected to be finalized in the first semester of 2022.
