The new individual electric vehicles (NVEI) such as E-bikes, single-wheelers, segways, hoverboards, are more and more present in the streets. Adopted for leisure or for home-office trips, these vehicles are attracting insurers who offer new specific products.
The Belgian insurer Ethias, in turn, enters this niche by proposing an extension of the family insurance for these new transport vehicles. This guarantee covers children's third party liability for damage they may cause to pedestrians.
It should be remembered that individual electric vehicles, like any self-propelled vehicle, must be covered by third party liability. Beyond a speed of 45km / h, they must also have their own license plate.
