On Friday, January 24, 2020, China began the construction of a new hospital in Wuhan city which is expected to receive patients with viral pneumonia (Coronavirus) as of February 3. The 25000 square-meter facility will be operational ten days following the beginning of the works.
This is not the first health facility built in record time in China. In 2003, a prefabricated hospital was erected in Beijing in one week.
