The broken wing mirror scam continues to make wave in France

The theft method is known by the police and was mainly witnessed in four south-west French regions.

The scam essentially targets the influenceble people, notably the seniors.

The scammer accuses the victim of having broken his/her wing mirror while doing a parking maneuver.

Consequently, the thief suggests a win-win arrangement to the victim in order for the latter to avoid paying an expensive indemnification. After that, the schemer urges the victim to use an ATM in order to deal with the incident by means of cash.
