Amazon Insurance Store to shut down

Following a strategic review, Amazon has decided to close its UK-based business, Amazon Insurance Store.

The associated site, established on 19 October 2022, allowed customers to compare and underwrite home insurance policies in the UK with the e-commerce giant's various partner insurers.

Customers who have already underwritten home policies will see no change to their contracts.

This adjustment is part of an evaluation of the company's various activities and programs. Amazon is now looking to shift its focus to other areas of the business.
