Acquisition of April: KKR in negotiations with CVC Capital Partners

The American investment fund KKR has entered into exclusive negotiations with CVC Capital Partners for the acquisition of its majority stake in the French broker April.

The amount of the transaction, estimated at 2.3 billion EUR (2.4 billion USD), is 2.5 times higher than the CVC Capital Partners' buyout value in 2019, which amounted to 900 million EUR (934.911 million USD).

KKR will thus become the majority shareholder of April, which is preparing, for its part, to accelerate its international development.

The acquisition, still pending the approval of the competent authorities, should be finalized by the end of Q1 2023.
