US cyber insurance market in 2023

Cyberassurance dataA report by AM Best indicates that non-life insurers underwriting cyber risks in the USA closed 2023 with a turnover of 7.24 billion USD. This figure is virtually the same as that recorded at the end of 2022.

Chubb maintains its leading position in the US cyber insurance market, with direct written premiums of 574 million USD in 2023.

With premiums amounting to 487 million USD, AXA XL advances from 3rd place in 2022 to 2nd place in 2023. This puts it ahead of Fairfax Financial (USA) Group, which is now ranked 3rd in the top 20 cyber insurers in the USA.
