Munich Re: Q1 2024 preliminary net result

Munich Re has posted a preliminary net profit of 2.1 billion EUR (2.3 billion USD) as at 31 March 2024. This result exceeds analysts' forecasts of 1.476 billion EUR (1.6 billion USD).

Munich Re is expecting a net profit of 5 billion EUR (5.3 billion USD) for the current financial year.

The German group will publish its final quarterly results on 8 May 2024.
