Micro-insurance, 10 licence applications under consideration

Leo Akah, deputy director of the department "Authorization and Policy" of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has confirmed the deposit of 10 licence applications for the activity of micro-insurance at the NAICOM.

Licensing will be based on specific criteria that will be unveiled to the public during the first weeks of the current month.

L. Akah also states that microinsurance product must be "simple, valuable and affordable."
