Doha Insurance Group to open reinsurance branch in India

Doha Insurance Group has secured initial approval from the Central Bank of Qatar to open a reinsurance branch in India.

The new structure will be based in GIFT City (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City).

The insurer is currently in the process of finalizing the procedures required to obtain regulatory approvals from the Qatari and Indian authorities.

Founded in 1999, Doha Insurance Group is a Qatari provider of non-life, life and health insurance and reinsurance services.
