German reinsurance group Deutsche Rück closed the 2024 financial year with a turnover of 2.1 billion EUR (2.2 billion USD), up by 18.3% over one year. Both international and local markets played a part in this improvement.
Net result climbed by 20.8% to 14.5 million EUR (15.1 million USD), compared with 12 million EUR (13.2 million USD) recorded at the end of 2023.
Investment income declined by 8.7% year-on-year to 74.8 million EUR (77.9 million USD).
Over the course of fiscal 2024, Deutsche Rück Group extended its life and health reinsurance business to the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa).
