United States: AIG entrusts Swiss Re with the coverage of its reinsurance

American International Group (AIG) has signed a reinsurance agreement with Swiss Re for the coverage of its accident and miscellaneous risks' portfolio. According to this agreement, part of AIG’s portfolio will be transferred into Swiss Re’s reinsurance.

The contract, established for a two-year period, is designed to optimize the management of the American insurer’s capital and increase its return on equity (ROE).
