New regulations regarding investment in Cat Bonds

Capital Market Authorities (CMA) have published the new regulations pertaining to investments in Cat Bonds carried out by insurers and brokers.

The new standards spell out the criteria that would make the management of those investments transparent.

All insurers are, henceforth, required to obtain approval of authorities before marketing such products or prior to the establishment of specific funds.
Experts believe this kind of business is poised to develop.
