Compulsory health insurance scheme, 5.2 million new policyholders

SFollowing the publication of the decrees for the implementation of the compulsory health insurance scheme (AMO) on August 18, 2005, some 34% of the population, that is, 5.2 million people will be covered for the first time. During a press conference held on September 13, 2005, Said Ahmidouch, General Manager of CNSS (Caisse Nationale de Sécurité Sociale) has unveiled details pertaining to the terms and planning for the implementation of AMO (Compulsory Health Insurance Scheme).
