The cold wave affects the U.S. economy

The exceptional low temperatures (-30 degrees) in several American states will have serious economic consequences for the country.
According to first estimates, cancellation since the last week of nearly 30,000 flights will cost 1.4 billion USD for airlines while the slowdown in economic activity and power cuts should cause losses of 5 billion USD.
