John Rice appointed new Chairman of AIG's Board of Directors

John Rice, Lead Independent Director of American International Group (AIG), has been appointed Chairman of the group’s Board of Directors, effective 15 September 2026.

Peter Zaffino, Executive Chairman and a member of the Board of Directors, will step down from his position on the same date and become a Senior Advisor to the U.S. insurer.

The move follows Zaffino’s transition earlier in 2026 from Chairman and CEO to Executive Chairman.
