CNP Assurances to acquire Prudential Financial’s insurance business in Brazil and Mexico

French life insurer CNP Assurances has signed an agreement with U.S.-based Prudential Financial to acquire its insurance businesses in Brazil and Mexico.

The transaction involves the acquisition of 100% of the equity in Prudential of Brazil and Prudential of Mexico for a total of 4 billion USD.

Subject to approval by the relevant regulatory authorities, the transaction is expected to be completed in the second half of 2027.
