STAR: results as at 31 March 2024

Société Tunisienne d'Assurance et de Réassurance (STAR) has published its provisional business indicators for the first quarter of 2024.

The Tunisian insurer closed the first three months of the current financial year with a turnover of 136.975 million TND (43.8 million USD), up by 7.6% compared to the 127.349 million TND (41.2 million USD) recorded during the same period of 2023.

Non-life premiums climbed by 7.7% to 125.315 million TND (40 million USD). Life underwriting amounted to 11.66 million TND (3.8 million USD), representing a 6.2% growth over one year.

Settled claims as at 31 March 2024 stood at 71.448 million TND (22.8 million USD), showing a 10.5% progression.

The investment income totaled 21.362 million TND (6.8 million USD), evolving by 1.1% over twelve months.
