Youcef Benmicia, President of the UAR

Youcef Benmicia, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Compagnie Algérienne des Assurances (CAAT) is appointed President of the Algerian Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies "UAR".

The appointment took effect on 29 June 2020. Benmicia succeeds Brahim Djamel Kessali, former CEO of the Caisse Algérienne d'Assurance et de Réassurance (CAAR), recently promoted Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance.

Prior to Benmicia's appointment, the position was filled by Hassen Khelifati, CEO of Alliance Assurances.
