UAE: Compulsory insurance for drones in the emirate of Dubai

Insurance of commercial drones has became mandatory in the emirate of Dubai. This decision was taken after a meeting held on October 16, 2017 between Dubai Police and Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA).

The minimum amount of third party liability cover is set at 3.67 million AED (999 414 USD)while the premium is set at 1 750 AED(476.6 USD).

The compulsory insurance will soon be extended to drones of private or leisure use.
