Tunisian insurance market: 2025 figures

The General Insurance Committee (CGA) has released data on the Tunisian market for the financial year ending 31 December 2025.

Direct insurers collectively reported a turnover of 4.255 billion TND (1.5 billion USD), an increase of 11.4% compared with 3.82 billion TND in 2024.

Non-life premiums grew by 9.3%, reaching 2.919 billion TND (1 billion USD), while life and capitalisation insurance premiums rose 16.4% year-on-year to 1.336 billion TND (459 million USD).

During the same period, claims paid by local insurers increased by 6.1%, totaling 2.363 billion TND (811.8 million USD).
