Traffic Accidents: Road Fatalities Increase in Tunisia

According to The National Road Safety Observatory (ONSR), 836 people lost their lives in road accidents between 1 January and 16 August 2026, that is a 10.14% increase in one year. Meanwhile, the number of people injured fell  by 18.77% to 3 773.

During the period under review, 2 885 traffic accidents were recorded compared to 3 530 twelve months earlier, a decrease of 18.27% in the number of accidents.
