Tesla establishes a brokerage firm in China

According to an information database, Tesla has registered an insurance brokerage company in China on 30 July 2024. Based in Beijing, the entity has a registered capital of 50 million CNY (7 million USD).

With the inauguration of the new company, the American carmaker could once again seek approval from the relevant authorities to market insurance products in China.

For the record, Tesla had already registered a brokerage business in the country in 2020, but ultimately withdrew its application in April 2024.
