Swiss Re acquires a stake in Britam Holdings

Swiss Re is intent on purchasing 13.81% of the capital of Britam Holdings, the largest insurer in Kenya. This stake belongs to Plum LLP, an investment company owned by businessman Peter Munga.

Concluded on June 11, 2018, the transaction amounts to 48 million USD.

With a market capitalization of 300 million USD, Britam Holdings is listed on the Nairobi Stock Exchange.
