Super typhoon Man-yi wreaks havoc in the Philippines

 typhon Man-yiSuper typhoon Man-yi hit the Philippines on Saturday 16 November 2024, packing peak winds of 325km/h and causing 14 meter-high waves.

This was the sixth major storm to hit the archipelago in a single month.

The disaster resulted in substantial material damage, with trees uprooted and roofs ripped off. No casualties were reported, as residents followed evacuation instructions.

More than 650 000 people were forced to leave their homes as the super typhoon, considered catastrophic and extremely dangerous, approached.
