Saudi health insurance: private companies fined for failing to cover employees

health insuranceThe Saudi government has imposed fines on private sector companies that do not provide mandatory health insurance coverage for their employees.

Companies with more than 51 employees will be fined up to 20 000 SAR (5 325 USD) for each uninsured employee.

The sanctions amount to 5 000 SAR (1 331 USD) per worker for companies employing between 11 and 50 employees and 2 000 SAR (532 USD) per employee for entities with 10 employees or less.
