Renewable energy: an A380 aircraft flies on cooking oil

On Tuesday, 29 March 2022, an Airbus A380 made an experimental flight from Toulouse to Nice using sustainable fuel made from cooking oil instead of kerosene. The flight between both cities was preceded by a three-hour test flight using the same biofuel.

Airbus aims to achieve 100% SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) certification for its entire fleet by 2030.
