Regulation of online brokerage activity in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) has submitted a bill for the regulation of online insurance brokerage.

The new regulation has to specify the requirements for granting an online insurance broking license and regulate the relationship between the online brokers and the insurance companies.

The new text reflects SAMA's willingness to modernize the financial sector and develop the new technologies in insurance.
