Record profit for Qatar Islamic Insurance Company

Qatar Islamic Insurance Company (QIIC) has announced its record high profits of 173.2 million QAR (47 598 000 USD) for the year 2005, that is, a 318% increase in comparison with 2004. The shareholders' next General Assembly set for February 27, 2006 should approve the increase of the company's paid-up capital from 50 to 100 million QAR (13 737 000 to 27 474 000 USD).
