Philipp Rüede has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SCOR Life & Health and a Member of the Executive Committee. He is replacing Frieder Knüpling, who stepped down in July 2024. The appointment will take effect on 1 June 2025.
A Swiss and German national, P. Rüede has over 20 years' experience in the banking and reinsurance sectors.
His career began in 1999 with the Swiss bank Vontobel. After stints with the American bank CS First Boston and the Swiss company Arbillon Capital, P. Rüede joined Swiss Re in 2013, where over the course of 12 years he assumed a number of executive positions, including Head of the Alternative Capital Partners team.
P. Rüede is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique de Paris and the Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH).
