A medical plane crashed into a residential area in Philadelphia on 31 January 2025, causing fires and explosions.
None of the six passengers aboard the “Learjet 55” survived the crash, including a young girl who had received life-saving medical treatment. The other passengers were the child's mother, the pilot, the co-pilot, a doctor and a nurse. All six victims were Mexican nationals.
Local authorities reported that another person in a car died in the tragedy, which set fire to several buildings and vehicles. At least 19 people were injured.
This air disaster occurred only two days after an airliner collided with a military helicopter, claiming 67 lives.
