Pan African reinsurance pool

The Gabonese reinsurer SCG-Ré and its Kenyan counterpart Zep-Re are planning to create a pan-African reinsurance pool.

The initiative, which is expected to materialize in 2019, aims to increase local capacities and reduce capital outflows from the continent.
