Badri Management Consultancy has published key business indicators for the eight listed Omani insurers. These figures pertain to the first nine months of 2024.
As at 30 September of the current year, insurance service result amounted to 2.6 million OMR (6.7 million USD), down 85% over one year.
All insurance companies closed the first three quarters of 2024 with a net loss of 2.5 million OMR (6.5 million USD), against a net profit of 9.5 million OMR (24.6 million USD) during the same period of 2023.
The eight insurers featured in the study are: Al Madina Takaful (AMAT), Arabia Falcon Insurance Company (AFIC), Dhofar Insurance (DICS), Muscat Insurance (MCTI), Liva Group, Oman United Insurance (OUIC), Oman Qatar Insurance (OQIC) and Takaful Oman Insurance (TAOI).
