Old Mutual announces its intention to acquire Skandia

Old Mutual has expressed its intention to acquire the Swedish insurer Skandia which is equally coveted by other potential bidders such as the Finn Sampo, the American Hartford Financials, the Swiss Zurich Financials and the French Axa.
