New microinsurance products to be launched in Egypt

The Egyptian insurers are to develop new microinsurance products targeting low-income people, especially those living in rural and remote areas such as livestock owners or small craftsmen.

These products shall be available on the market within the next three months. Microinsurance has just started in Egypt and only covers 500 000 policyholders, the market's potential is of 40 million clients.
